چکیده

One way to cope with an NP-hard problem is to find an algorithm that is fact on average with respect to a natural probability distribution on inputs. We consider from that point of view the Hamiltonian Path Problem. Our algorithm for the Hamiltonian Path Problem constructs or establishes the nonexistence of a Hamiltonian path. For a fixed probability p, the expected run-time of our algorithm on a random graph with n vertices and the edge probability p is O(n). The algorithm is adaptable to directed graphs. Introduction. One way to cope with an NP-hard decision problem iyR(x, y) is to find an algorithm that is fast on average with respect to a natural probability

Finding the Shortest Hamiltonian Path for Iranian Cities Using Hybrid Simulated Annealing and Ant Colony Optimization Algorithms

The traveling salesman problem is a well-known and important combinatorial optimization problem. The goal of this problem is to find the shortest Hamiltonian path that visits each city in a given list exactly once and then returns to the starting city. In this paper, for the first time, the shortest Hamiltonian path is achieved for 1071 Iranian cities. For solving this large-scale problem, tw...

A DNA Sequence Design for Molecular Computation of Hamiltonian Path Problem with Output Visualization based on Real-Time PCR

It is already been proven that it is possible to solve mathematical graph problem such as the Hamiltonian Path Problem (HPP), Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), and the Shortest Path Problem (SPP), by means of molecular computing. Normally, in molecular computation, the DNA sequences used for the computation should be critically designed in order to reduce error that could occur during computati...

Optimal Parallel Algorithms for Cut Vertices, Bridges, and Hamiltonian Path in Bounded Interval Tolerance Graphs

We present parallel algorithms to nd cut vertices, bridges, and Hamiltonian Path in bounded interval tolerance graphs. For a graph with n vertices, the algorithms require O(logn) time and use O(n) processors to run on Concurrent Read Exclusive Write Parallel RAM (CREW PRAM) model of computation. Our approach transforms the original graph problem to a problem in computational geometry. The total...

Unconventional Computation, 5th International Conference, UC 2006, York, UK, September 4-8, 2006, Proceedings

In this paper we suggest the use of light for performing useful computations. Namely, we propose a special device which uses light rays for solving the Hamiltonian path problem on a directed graph. The device has a graph-like representation and the light is traversing it following the routes given by the connections between nodes. In each node the rays are uniquely marked so that they can be ea...
